This is the electronic copy of a database available (free) from me of photographs charting the history of Clophill from the mid-19th Century to present.
This Site Needs You!
Hopefully, this website will be ever-expanding. Please explore the site, and contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have information about a photo, or photos of your own to scan or add, or if you would like a copy of some or all of the photos here in high quality. However, please note that this site operates only to act as a focal point for photos of Clophill, and not commercially at all.
How It Works
The body of work lies in the 'Maps' section. Select an era, navigate with the keyboard arrow keys and click on the blue location triangles or accompanying text. This will then open up the desired photo. To come back here at any point click on the title at the top. There is also sections dedicated to both the Churches and Pubs of Clophill, as well as a 'Virtual Tour' of modern day Clophill - see the menu on the left.
This site couldn't have been created without the input of Mike Benson, Ralph Brough, Peter Cooper, Duncan Beatie, Maurice Lewis, Ray Sharpe, Mel Hughes, Doris Pitts, Ryan McCarron, the team at the Bedfordshire and Luton Archives office (linked on the left), and a great host of other people suggesting names, and providing photos or information.
